A respected Ghanaian football coach, Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie, has been reported dead after an ambulance transporting him to hospital crashed, Kickoff reports.
According to ghanasoccernet, Afranie was being transported by ambulance to the Okomfo Anokye Hospital in Kumasi when the vehicle was involved in a fatal collision on the Bonsu Road.
Afranie suffered a mild stroke and was taken to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital last month.
He led various Ghanaian national youth teams as well as the Black Queens to respective World Cups. He was 66.
