Harry Porter actor, Robert Hardy has died aged 91. The star was best known for his portrayal as the Minister Of Magic, Cornelius Fudge in the blockbuster franchise.
He also starred in TV hit All Creatures Great and Small as Siegfried Farnon.
The short statement by his family read: “It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Hardy CBE today announced his death, following a tremendous life: a giant career in theatre, television and film spanning more than 70 years.”
In November 1981, Hard was awared a CBE at Buckingham Palace by Her Majesty The Queen for services to acting.
When asked about what is the secret to being a successful actor, Hardy replied: “A certain amount of talent, luck, a spine of steel, a ruthlessness of mind that does not jib at murder and patience.”
