The Executive Secretary, Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), Dr. Sola Akande, has revealed that primary health centers to be used for the basic health care scheme will start getting their capitation soon.
He said the health centers will start getting their capitation every month once the enrollees start accessing care, saying that money will be paid in order to run the programme effectively.
The Executive Secretary noted that the health centers are also being monitored to ensure that the right thing is being done.
Akande said the free basic care provision has taken off, adding thst 13,000 enrollees will start accessing care this month. He, however, stressed that the registration is an ongoing exercise.
The Executive Secretary further explained that advocacy for health insurance is still ongoing.
He assured enrollees of efficient service delivery, saying if there is an issue, they would be promptly resolved once reported.
