A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye (MDII) has described the passing of the former national chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy(AD) and former Secretary to Oyo State Government, Chief Michael Koleoso, as a national loss.
In a statement made available to newsmen by his media office, Abass-Aleshinloye said Koleosho’s death was a devastating loss to the people of Oyo State and Nigeria in general.
He described Koleosho as a nationalist who lived a purposeful and dedicated life to the cause of the nation’s unity as well as a highly resourceful politician who demonstrated great love and passion for the development of his people.
Abass-Aleshinloye acknowledged Koleosho’s selfless service and immeasurable contributions to nation building, especially his legacies in Oyo State where he served meritoriously as a commissioner and Secretary to State Government.
The APC chieftain stated that the state would sorely miss Koleosho, adding that as a selfless and vibrant politician, he brought Saki town and Oyo State to high pedestal of development.
He commiserated with the family of the late elder statesman, urging them to uphold the ideals he stood for.
While noting that the nation will continue to draw inspiration from Koleosho’s life and times, the former council boss prayed that God in His infinite mercies will grant the deceased eternal rest and the immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
