Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II. has confessed that he faced a lot of tribulations in 2022, which he thought would consume him but Jesus Christ turned things around for him in 2023.
Oba Ogunwusi spoke in Ile Ife at the grand finale of New Year Prayer organised by Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), held at Afewonro Park, Enuwa Square, on Saturday.
The monarch, who didn’t diclose the tribulations he faced in 2022, said his life is full of God’s wonders and miracles.
“When I look back, I observed that my life is full of God’s wonders and miracles. Despite all the challenges faced, the Lord gave me victory over them all. I sat down here last year with a lot of tribulations and storms of life in which I cannot explain, but to God be the Glory, my shame has turned to celebration.
“I observed where I started, hitherto, the Lord has helped me, it’s clearly stated to me that the Lord is Alive, fool is anyone that says there’s no God,” the monarch said.
Ooni reiterated his commitment to serve God and humanity throughout his life, adding that he would always seek the growth and development of Ile Ife, Osun, Yoruba race and Nigeria at large.
Earlier in his sermon, the Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun, Moore District Coordinating Council (DCC), Pastor Mathew Adejumo in his sermon, assured Christians that there’s power in Jesus Christ.
In his sermon titled, ‘Be Still,’ from the Book of Mark 4:35-41, Adejumo said the Jesus Christ is able to stop the storms of lives of those that trust in Him, country, family, town or community that rely solely on Him.
