Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he had not been attending the campaign rallies of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Gen.Muhammadu Buhari, because he was never invited.
He said this in an interview with BBC Hausa, in the early hours of Friday.
He said further that he would not attend the campaign if not invited.
His words: “There are minor irregularities in connection with the system being followed by the campaign team of General Buhari but we are trying to correct it. They need to check the strategy they are adopting.
He also said he had informed the Director-General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, about the issue, saying:“I told him that if he did not invite me, I will not go”.
Atiku who was an aspirant in the presidential primaries in which Buhari emerged the winner however denied reports that he was planning to return to the Peoples Democratic Party.
