The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Mr. Tunde Balogun has disclosed that he recieved no fewer than 600 Curriculum Vitaes(CVs) from people who wanted to be Commissioners and Special Advisers in the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Balogun stated this while speaking to newsmen in Lagos on Friday.
His words: ” I received CVs from 600 people who applied to be Commissioners and Special Advisers, but all of them cannot be Commissioners and Special Advisers.”
He, however, expressed his delight at the nomination of three members of the State Executive Committee(SEC) of the party by the governor. Those nominated and screened by the House of Assembly are the party’s Secretary ,Dr. Wale Ahmed; Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe and Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinfa.

He described them as hardworking and committed party officers who have contributed to the growth and victories of the party, noting that their appointments will motivate other party officers, chieftains and leaders to work harder for the victory of the party in the future.
According to him,” the governor selected the best among them in his bid to foster good governance in the Centre of Excellence.”
Balogun said the Commissioners-designate possess the experience, sound pedigree and integrity that they will not fail the state, adding that they will work as a team to resolve the challenges confronting the state.
He said new officers would be appointed to fill the vacancies in the SEC of the party, saying that adjustments may also be made within the committee.
The chairman added that the appointments and adjustments would be made after consultations with the governor and the Governor’s Advisory Council ( GAC).
