Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has promised to upgrade the economy, education, health and the security status of the state in his second term.
Makinde stated this after taking his oath of office for a second term in office at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (formerly known as Liberty Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
Makinde, who pledged to put aside self interest and place priority on the interest of the people of the state, said backlogs of workers gratuities would be paid within the next four years.
He also vowed to complete all the uncompleted road projects in the state and focus more on internal road development in his second term.
Makinde also told the citizens to expect tough decisions on street trading, dumping of refuse and wrong parking of vehicles.
