Former deputy governor of Oyo state, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi has said that despite losing the PDP governorship ticket in the state to Teslim Folarin, he remained in support of the party and its chosen candidates at the federal and state levels.
Speaking to journalists after a campaign rally for President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday, Gbolarumi said:”I have no grudge against the chosen candidate for Oyo state governorship race. I believe it is a party decision and as a party faithful, I have no choice than to support whatever they agree upon”.
He also said that his support for those who want the Governor Abiola Ajimobi out of office was informed by the wishes of people in the state.
On the March 28 presidential election, Gbolarumi said the APC candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari was no match for President Jonathan. He said Buhari will be distant second to Jonathan when the election results are declared.
He said Nigerians should put aside tribal and religious sentiments and allow Jonathan continue with his strides in transportation, agriculture and education.
