Publisher of Newswatch Times, Jimoh Ibrahim has concluded plans to rest the print version of the newspaper.
Last week, the businessman held a meeting with the management staff and unveiled plans to go fully online with the publication. He was reported to have said that the print edition of the paper will stop publication at end of March.
Workers of the media outfit are being owed up to 14 months salaries.
While the workers await the month end, they were shocked as the paper has not been printed since Friday March 11 through Sunday 13th March despite production of the pages for printing.
The publisher had however promised to pay only 60% of total debt while the staff will forfeit the remaining 40 percent.
It is not yet certain how many of the workers the company would be retained for the online edition of the paper.
