The Judicial Workers Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has called off the strike embarked upon by its members at state courts several weeks ago. They have been directed to resume work on Friday.
Recall that JUSUN had on January 25, suspended the strike action by its members in all federal courts after a three weeks strike period. The affected courts were the Federal High Court, the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court and the National Industrial Court.
The judicial workers had gone on strike over the refusal of the executive arm of government to comply with the judgment of a Federal High Court, Abuja which ordered the executive to hands off funds meant for the judiciary.
