The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has called an emergency National Executive Committee(NEC) meeting to consider matters pertaining to the national convention, governance of the party and other relevant business of the party.
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday, and signed by Governor Sani Bello of Niger State; Mrs. Stella Okotete;Sen. Abba Ali;Sen. Ken Nnamani;Jaměs Lalu;Prof. Tahir Mamman;Sen. Abubakar Yusuf;Chief David Lyon and Barr. Isman Ahmed.
The statement read in part: “Pursuant to Article 25B (i and ii) of the Party Constitution, and by the power vested on the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) via the NEC resolution of 8th December, 2020, the CECPC of the Party at its 23″ meeting of 8th March, 2022, hereby calls for the meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to consider matters pertaining to the National Convention, governance of the party and any other relevant business of the party.”
According to the statement, the meeting is scheduled to hold virtually on Thursday, March 17, 2022, by 11am.
It urged all NEC members to take notice of the meeting in accordance with Article 12.3 of the party’s Constitution.
