British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, will on Thursday, July 7, resign as leader of the Conservative Party, but will continue his position as Prime Minister until autumn.
His resignation will create room for a successor to replace him as British Prime Minister, after over 50 of his ministers quit the government.
“Boris Johnson will resign as Conservative leader today, he will continue as prime minister until the autumn,” BBC reports.
The medium added that a Tory leadership race will take place in the summer and the winner replace Johnson by October.
