The United Arab Emirates (UAE) flag carrier, Emirates Airlines flight landed at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, on Tuesday.
This is coming two years after the suspension of operation by Emirates over several issues including unrepatriated trapped funds belonging to the airline.
The flight EK 783 touched down at the old terminal of the MMIA at exactly 3:32pm.
Though the number of passengers on board could not be ascertained, it was learnt that the Boeing 777-300ER arrived with several empty seats.
The Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) has a capacity of 392 passengers.
The Nigerian pilot of the flight, Captain Moha Madugu, also confirmed the return of Dubai-Lagos flight.
In a post on his X account, Madugu wrote: “A very special day for me today, I have the honor of operating our inaugural return flight to Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬 @LOSairport. Today I’ll be flying both the Emirates and Nigerian flag very high 🇦🇪 🇳🇬 ! Thank you, Emirates
A flight time of slightly over 8hours today. #EkoOniBaje”
