Former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, has been appointed as the acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustee(BoT).
Wabara replaces former Chairman of the BoT, Sen Walid Jibrin.
Until his new appointment, the former Senate President was the Secretary of the BoT.
It was gathered that engagements are also ongoing to appeal to Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, to step down from his position as the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum.
The move is aimed at pacifying the South, especially the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and his camp to work for the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 general elections.
