Former deputy governor of Osun State, Sen. Iyiola Omisore, has been affirmed as the national secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC).
Omisore’s emergence follows the withdrawal of the three other aspirants in the race, Barr. Adebayo Shittu (Oyo); Prof Abideen Olaiya(Oyo) and Engr. Ife Oyedele (Ondo).
Chairman of the party’s election sub-committee of the ongoing APC national convention in Abuja, Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, made the announcement after a voice vote by delegates to affirm Omisore, who was a consensus candidate for the position.
Dayo Isreal from Lagos State was affirmed as the National Youth Leader, following the withdrawal of Dada Olusegun, who is also from Lagos State from the race.
