The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Osun State, Prince Gboyega Famoodun, has emerged as the new Owa of Igbajo,in Boluwaduro Local Government Area of the state.
Famoodun, it was gathered was elected by the kingmakers on Monday and his election was ratified by the State Executive Council at its meeting.
With his appointment, Prince Famoodun will succeed the late Oba Olufemi Fasade, who died in December 2020.
Father of the Owa-Elect, Oba Adelani Famoodun, occupied the throne before the late Oba Fasade.
Former Commissioner for Information, who is also an indigene of Igbajo, Sunday Akere, confirmed Famoodun’s election by the kingmakers and his appointment by the state government.
