The Oyo State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, suspended the chairman of Saki West Local Government Area, Mr Sarafadeen Omirinde, over alleged gross misconduct, anti-party activities among others.
Omirinde’s suspension was to allow the assembly investigate various allegations levelled against him.
According to the assembly, a correspondence signed by two-third members of the legislative arm of the local government was sent and read by the Clerk of the House.
Some of the allegations include gross misconduct, religious intolerance, anti-party activities, unlawful diversion of local government subvention among others.
The house directed the Vice Chairman, Mr Gbenga Akinola to take over in acting capacity while the leader of the legislative arm should take over the position of the vice chairman.
