The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as the winner of Saturday’s presidential election in Anambra State.
Obi cleared all the 21 local government areas in the state with a wide margin.
The Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) , Prof Nnenna Otti, who was State Collation Officer announced that the number of registered voters was 2,536,156 while accredited voters were 628,590.
Obi polled 584, 621 votes to defeat his closest challenges, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 9, 036 votes. Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) got 5, 111 votes to place third.
