The Owa Obokun of Ijesa land, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, has joined his ancestors.
Though, the Osun State Government and the palace have not issue any official statement, it was gathered that the monarch passed away on Thursday after a brief illness
“Baba has passed, but we are waiting for official announcement from the palace.
“You can see that they have started performing some traditional rites. This has to be done before any announcement can be made,” OsunDefender quoted a source as saying.
Oba Aromolaran was crowned as the Owa Obokun of Ijesa land in 1982
The monarch reigned for 42 years.
