The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has cast his vote at his Polling Unit 085, Ward 3, Sunday Adigun, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Tinubu, who was accompanied by his wife, Sen Oluremi Tinubu; his daughter, Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, and some aides arrived at his polling unit to a rousing welcome from electorate at about 10:20am.
Speaking with newsmen after casting his vote, Tinubu commended INEC for the hitch-free exercise.
He also expressed optimism that he will emerge victorious at the end of the exercise.
The APC candidate also commended the electorate for turning out in large numbers to exercise their civic right.
“I met a good turnout. We need a good turnout and it shows that democracy has taken root in Nigeria.
“Democracy has come to stay in Nigeria and we are looking at a prosperous and progressive country now,” he said.
When asked if he will come out victorious after the exercise, he said:” I’m certain of victory.”
He chatged electorate to maintain orderliness and peaceful emvironment.
