The Kogi West senatorial supplementary election has moved to the collation centres, after sorting and counting of votes ended in all the 53 polling units where election took place.
Although, the process was peaceful in Lokoja and other areas of Kogi West, including Odolu in Kabba, Aiyetoro-Gbedde and Demonstration Primary School, Asuta, it was however learnt that turnout of voters was poor.
At Ward B, polling unit 001, Karaworo, near Pararanda, in Lokoja, accreditation began as early as 8.00 a.m, after which voting commenced.
According to report, sorting and counting was done fairly easily and quickly too without any complaints from any of the party agents on ground.
Early report shows that in GRA, Asuta Ward 01, Kabba, APC had 254 votes while PDP had 95.
At Town Hall polling unit 002, Asuta Ward, APC had 48 while PDP had 98.
Results from affected polling units will be collated at the Local Government level before being transferred to Lokoja, where it would be added to the initial result, after which the final announcement would be made.
