The Kwara State Government has begun the process of employing 1,500 teachers for primary schools in the state.
The state’s Universal Basic Education Board on Wednesday announced the invitation of qualified candidates for written tests and oral interviews scheduled for October 27, 2018 at 8am.
According to a statement by the Board, applicants should possess National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Sciences, Languages, Technical Education and Primary Education.
Holders of university degrees in Primary Education Studies are also welcome to apply.
Those applying are to show up follows:
(a) Candidates from Kwara Central are to come to Bishop Smith Memorial College and St.Barnabas Primary School as below:
i). BSMC – Ilorin West and Asa LGAs.
ii). St. Barnabas – Ilorin East and South LGAs.
(b) Oyun and Offa LGA are to assemble at Offa Grammar School, Offa.
(c) Candidates from Ifelodun, Irepodun, Ekiti, Oke-Ero and Isin LGAs are to assemble at GSS, Omu-aran except those from Share and Babaloma axis.
(d) Candidates from other parts of Ifelodun and Moro Local Government Areas are to assemble at GSS, Bode- Saadu.
(e) Candidates from Patigi are to assemble at GSS, Patigi.
(f) Candidates from Edu are to assemble at Lafiagi Secondary School(LSS), Lafiagi.
(g) Candidates from Kaiama are to assemble at Kaiama Unity Secondary School Kaiama.
(h) Candidates from Baruten are to assemble at Baptist Grammar School, Okuta.
The statement added that “candidates are to come with original and photocopies of their credentials as well as writing materials for the written test. Lateness to the venue will not be acceptable as those who come late shall be turned back.”
The statement also stated that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the state for that day has been cancelled in order to allow free movement for applicants and those concerned.
