Senator Rashidi Ladoja, the governorship candidate of Accord Party in the 2015 election in Oyo State, has congratulated Governor Abiola Ajimobi on his victory at the Supreme Court today.
A former Deputy Governor in the state, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, also congratulated Ajimobi and members of his legal team led by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) and Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN).
Having lost at the election tribunal and the Appeal court, Ladoja had approached the Supreme Court to upturn Ajimobi’s victory in the election.
But on Tuesday, the apex court dismissed his petition for lack of merit.
In a statement issued after the judgement, by his media aide, Lanre Latinwo, Ladoja congratulated Ajimobi and called for support for the present administration, stressing that i was mow time to join hands with the governor to move the state forward
The former governor thanked his supporters, party faithfuls and everyone who supported him in the course of the election and judicial process.
Ladoja said he would continue to offer himself for service of the people and improvement of the state.
In his own statement, Oladokun, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said that the Supreme Court judgment had cleared the coast for the Ajimobi administration to build on the great foundations laid between 2011 to 2015.
He urged the people of Oyo state to cooperate with Ajimobi to build the dream state.
