Lagos State Government has extended the work-from-home policy for civil servants in the state for another three months.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the extension in a circular signed by the state’s Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday.
Recall that Sanwo-Olu had on February 28, directed workers in the state to work remotely on some days.
He directed that workers on grade levels 01 to 14 should work from home for two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 were allowed to work from home for one day a week.
The decision was to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal on the workers.
In the circular on Wednesday, Sanwo-Olu said the policy made positive impacts on workers’ productivity in the various ministries, departments and agencies of the state government.
The extension takes effect on Wednesday, September 4.
