The latest ranking of Nigerian Universities has confirmed Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, as the best state university in the country.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr Lekan Fadeyi, the National Universities Commission(NUC) announced the ranking on Monday.
The university which is owned by the Oyo State Government was also rated as the fourth best varsity in the country.
Fadeyi said that NUC ranked the University of Ibadan; Redeemers University and Covenant University were the only institutions ranked ahead of LAUTECH.
“The university (LAUTECH) owned by the Oyo State Government, is coming after the University of Ibadan, Redeemers University and Covenant University.
“Titled 2021 ranking of Nigerian universities, the ranking instituted by the National Universities Commission, as one of the several drivers of quality improvement of Nigerian University system was powered by the League of Directors of Academic Planning of all universities in Nigeria,” he added.
