Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has called on the people of Oyo State to keep hope alive in the spirit of Easter, assuring that life will be better next year.
Makinde, according to a release signed on his behalf by his media aide, Prince Dotun Oyelade, said that just as the Resurrection of Jesus Christ brought hope, renewal and a new lease of life to the world so shall Oyo people witness better life next year.
Alluding to the fact that the present administration in the state expires in 2019, Makinde tasked the people to endure “another year of social and economic deprivations from the present administration.
He accused the government of frittering public funds money “on wasteful ego driven projects that has no effect whatsoever on the crying needs of ordinary people and long suffering workers.”
According to him, “an administration that is demanding financial contributions from private schools to fund public institutions is not only callous but also bereft of ideas.”
