Moms can spoil you shine in the midst of your friends by showing up at your campus hostel unannounced, carrying a sack of garri on her head and dragging some pieces of ‘cocoyams, all for your feeding!
If you show embarrassment on sighting her and not greet her properly, she could wack your face for being silly, while your ‘hommies’ laugh and prepare grounds for a miserable shading season for you.
But would you allow them do the same on Facebook? The answer is no that is why some people dread Facebook requests from their mothers.
Those who accepted such requests have some embarrassing tales to tell.
From mothers commenting on posts not intended for them, to writing inappropriate statuses, these conversations have probably left their offspring wishing they had rejected the request.
The list below shows just what can happen when you take a chance and accept.
According to a MailOnline compilation, one daughter was in for a shock when she saw that her mother had liked a link on Facebook – which was offering a ‘hot deal’ on an ‘intimate massager’.
Another son almost collapsed when his mother started posting photos of him as a toddler running around in panties and playing dress-up in his father’s underwear.
Michael wrote on his status one day ‘There’s nothing nicer than an all natural boob.’
His mother Amy saw it and hilariously responded: ‘The last boob u touched was mine when I breast fed u! LOL.’
A mother decided to leave a long, heartfelt status about her daughter on her birthday, which began with: ’34 years ago today…’
But her daughter bluntly replied: ‘I’m only 33’.
