Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the sum of N500,000 to be paid as bursary to every indigene of Oyo State in the Nigerian Law School.
The governor made the disclosure in a social media post where he revealed that representatives of Oyo State indigenes at the Nigerian Law School paid him a courtesy visit at his office.
Following the approval, Makinde said his administration “will continue to prioritise education as the foundation upon which sustainable development will be built.”
“Representatives of Oyo State indigenes at the Nigerian Law School visited me today. I approved the sum of N500,000 to be paid as a bursary to each Oyo State indigene at the Law School,” he said in his post.
There are 120 Oyo indigenes for the 2019/2020 session for Law School meaning that a total of N60million was approved.
