Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has sent the name of Barrister Lateef Idowu Oyeleke as commissioner-nominee to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and approval.
The Speaker, Rt Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, disclosed this while reading a letter from the executive at Thursday’s plenary.
According to the the speaker, the governor is seeking to appoint Oyeleke as late Hon Kehinde Ayoola’s replacement. Ayoola was until his death in May, the Commissioner for Environment.
Oyeleye, who once served as Legal Adviser of Social Democratic Party ( SDP), hails from Atiba local government area of the state.
The House has asked the nominee to submit 50 copies of his curriculum vitae (CV) on or before August 10, adding that the screening exercise will hold on August 11, 2020.
