Following the advice of the retired Head of Service (HoS), Alhaja Amidat Ololade Agboola to the Oyo State Government, Governor Seyi Makinde has promised to fill the vacant permanent secretary positions in the civil service.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa, at the weekend.
Speaking at the retirement and thanksgiving programme of Agboola, the governor said the ex-HoS was committed to workers’ welfare, and commended her for not recommending any staff for dismissal throughout her four years tenure.
Makinde described Agboola as a team player, who contributed immensely to the success of his administration in the last four years, adding that she was so passionate about service to the state.
While admitting that the former HoS was a member of his administration’s think tank, the governor noted that his administration was successful by putting the right pegs in the right holes.
Makinde said his administration will soon purchase official vehicles for serving Permanent Secretaries and Tutors-General in the state.
Speaking, Agboola appreciated God and the governor for giving her the opportunity to serve the state as HoS, despite all odds.
She also commended the state government, labour unions and other government functionaries, for providing a conducive atmosphere for her to thrive.
She pledged to continue her support for the Seyi Makinde- led administration
