The two hijackers who used hand grenades to take control of a Libyan passenger plane and diverted it to Malta, have surrendered.
The hijackers, loyal to former Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, seized the plane while on an internal flight from Sabha to Tripoli, and diverted it to Malta.
Negotiations followed amid a standoff and the hijackers freed the passengers. They eventually gave themselves up and were led away in handcuffs.
Joseph Muscat, the Prime Minister of Malta, confirmed the hijackers had been taken into custody.
There were 118 people on board the plane, including a baby.
