A burglar, Cabor Roman, tried to break into Jose Mourinho’s £25 million central London home while the coach was at home watching the European Championships final on TV.
Roman who was apprehended outside the former Chelsea boss’ six-bedroom Belgravia pad after trying to get into the house through the basement, has now been jailed.
A Portuguese maid who was doing some ironing spotted the 25-year-old intruder and started screaming, which alerted a security guard who blocked his path.
Eight police officers then led the intruder away as Mourinho and his wife Matilde Faria watched from a window.
The Sun UK, quoted a witness as saying:
“The way he was walking and talking he seemed to be on something. He looked really moody and nervous.
“The look on Jose’s face when he peered out was priceless.”
Roman, of no fixed address, was jailed for four weeks at Westminster Magistrates’ court on Tuesday after admitting attempted burglary.
