Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu, who was arrested over the weekend by operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS has been disowned by leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike.
Uwazuruike, disclosed this through his Assistant Director of information, Mr. Sunday Okereafor, in Owerri on Monday. He described Kanu as a rebel who had long been expelled by MASSOB for inciting violence among members.
He noted that Kanu had been summarily dismissed for breaking the group’s nonviolence approach, the MASSOB leader insisted that “Kanu’s arrest has nothing to do with the struggle for a sovereign state of Biafra.”
He went on to dismiss speculations that MASSOB was behind the arrest of the Biafra Radio boss, adding that the movement does not meddle into unnecessary matters.
