Reports have it that prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders and their supporters in Ondo East and West, the home town of Governor Olusegun Mimiko, have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This comes barely two days after 46 leaders of the PDP switched camp to the APC.
The latest decampees who were led by former chairman of Ondo West, Yinka Adeyosoye made their defection public at the APC state secretariat along Oyemekun road, Akure the state capital, saying that their defection was to team up with the APC and Gen Muhammadu Buhari for the change Nigeria needed.
Adeyosoye said they had consulted widely with their people and realised that APC was the way to go.
Other defectors were former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to governor Olusegun Mimiko, Kolawole Olabisi, former Special Assistant to the governor on special interest, Mr. Arije Kareem, Youth leader of Hausa community in Ondo Kingdom, Yaro Aliu and its PRO, Adamu Ibraheem, Mr. Samuel Adeusi, among others.
