Skit maker and comedian, Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has criticised  former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, for deleting his posts on social media condemning the mob attack on Deborah Yakubu, the female student set ablaze in Sokoto for blasphemy, on Thursday.

Mr Macaroni in a post on his Twitter handle on Friday, said politicians do not care about Nigerians.

“Atiku deleting the tweet condemning the gruesome murder of Deborah shows what we have been preaching this whole election season. Politicians don’t care for the people.

“They only play to the gallery when seeking for our votes. The people must see beyond these gimmicks,” he wrote.

Atiku had condemned the killing of Yakubu on his social media handles but later deleted the messages after some northern  fanatics threatened not to vote for him if he emerges PDP presidential candidate.
