Arsenal have completed the signing of Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia in a deal worth up to £35million.
The 24-year-old German centre back becomes the Gunners’ second signing of the day following the arrival of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna for £17m.
The club’s new arrivals take Arsenal’s spending close to the £100m mark this summer as they look to compete with the Manchester clubs and Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.
Mustafi becomes Arsenal’s sixth signing of the summer, following Granit Xhaka, Rob Holding, Takuma Asano – who has already joined Stuttgart on loan – and Kelechi Nwakali.
