Nigeria defeated Sudan 3-1 on Saturday in the ongoing AFCON to book a place in the second round of the competition.
Nigeria dominated the first half of the game, and took the lead with a fantastic goal by wonderkid, Samuel Chukueze, in the third minute. The Super Eagles doubled their advantage with a header from Taiwo Awoniyi in the 45th minute.
The third goal for the Super Eagles was scored by exciting winger, Moses Simeon, in the 48th minute while Sudanese scored their only goal in the 70 minute from the penalty spot.
With the victory, the Super Eagles won their opening two matches to an Africa Cup of Nations in consecutive tournaments for the very first time and sit on top of the Group D table with six points from two games.
