Nigeria recorded 576 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 37,801.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control made the announcement via its verified Twitter handle.

It said 15,677 patients have recovered and discharged, while 805 fatalities have been recorded across the country.

Data obtained from the NDDC website showed that Nigeria currently has 21,319 active cases of coronavirus.
