The music management team of Falz has told the Islamic group, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) to forget about getting their demands met over the artiste’s controversial music video, “This is Nigeria”.
MURIC in a statement on Tuesday demanded the withdrawal of the video from the screens and an apology from Falz.
The Muslim group is unhappy with the scene where some girls wearing hijab were seen dancing “Shaku Shaku”. They threatened legal action if Falz fails to meet their demand in seven days.
“We therefore give notice of impending legal action against the artist behind the ‘Shaku Shaku’ video unless the latter is withdrawn and an apology is widely published within seven days.” MURIC said.

But Femi Soro, a member of Falz management team, reacting to MURIC’s threat said the video would not be withdrawn.
Premium Times quoted him as saying: “We have nothing to say. We are not withdrawing the video neither are we commenting on their claims. If they have any grievance they can head to court and we will meet them.”
