The Federal Government has said the current security situation in the country is better than what the present administration met at its inception in 2015.
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, stated this at a press conference in Abuja.
He said although the country is still facing security challenges, the situation has changed for the better.
“I can say without hesitation that, though Nigeria is facing security challenges, the situation is far better than what we met in 2015,” the minister said.
Mohammed explained that before the inception of the present administration, 12 states were experiencing bombings by Boko Haram including the Federal Capital Territory.
“There is no doubt that we are much better than how it was,” he added.
