In the past, Ankara outfits made from the popular wax printed cotton textile were seen only as party and social functions dresses.
But in recent times, there is a growing preference for the fabric as an all-occasion wear, styled to suit the various settings and situations.

Ankara is no longer that native fabric you are allowed to wear to work only on Fridays, it is now being stylishly infused into work outfits and worn as shirt, top, skirt, dress, pants, scarfs by both women and men every day, paired with beautiful accessories.

The catch is the fact that Ankara remains one of the most versatile and relatively cheap fabrics in the fashion world which comes in different designs, colours and patterns.

In case you wish to join the fashion train, your body type, fashion taste and the fabric design, are factors to consider when selecting Ankara styles.

Here are further tips to inculcate Ankara into your work outfit;

1.            Ankara skirt
For a stylish office look, you can decide to sew a classy and stylish Ankara skirt and then pair it with a good shirt or blouse, plain -coloured top and your pair of heels to match. The Ankara skirt may be a straight knee-length skirt, pencil skirt, a free skirt, or even one with a front slit.

2.            Ankara top
Ankara top is also a way to show creativity as an office worker. For a casual but still a little bit formal look, rock your stylish Ankara top with a pair of boyfriend jeans, plain pants, or even a plain skirt. Finish off the look with your heels and bag to match and watch heads turn and short sleeves outfit for men.

3.            Ankara suit
This is also a way to infuse Ankara material into formal wear. Making a suit with Ankara will surely go with any type of outfit and it can either be a long sleeve or short sleeve and it can be worn with a plain trousers or skirt. Step out looking all shades of confidence in your Ankara suit and pant. This style leaves you looking both chic and classy
Ankara peplum
 Peplum is one of the beautiful styles you can make with Ankara and it won’t be a bad idea to try it out to your office. Your regular office gowns don’t have to be the same boring style every time. Spice up your style by adding a detachable peplum made from Ankara to your outfit. Wear the peplum over your dress, around your waist.

4. Ankara blazer
Steal the show by wearing an Ankara jacket or blazer over your office dress.

5. Ankara pants
Ditch your boring office pants for one made from beautiful and colourful Ankara prints and rock stylishly and confidently with a plain top and add a blazer to it to wrap up the appearance.

6. Ankara bags
Yet another stylish way to rock Ankara to work is by finishing off your formal look with an Ankara handbag instead of your regular work bag.
