Senator Sharafadeen Alli, lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has congratulated Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Rafiu Olaniyi Adeniyi, and the people of Igangan on the official opening of the new Igangan market, called Oja Agbe.
A statement made available to newsmen on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, said the lawmaker expressed delight at the completion and commissioning of the market, noting that he believes the market would foster economic growth and improve the standard of living of the people of Igangan.
According to Alli, the new market is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Igangan community and the leadership of Oba Adeniyi.
He commended the traditional ruler for his dedication to the development of the town, and praised Igangan people for their roles in ensuring the successful execution of the project.
“This market is not just a trading hub, it symbolises progress and unity in Igangan. I am confident it will serve as a catalyst for further infrastructural development,” he said.
Alli noted that the success of Oja Agbe was a reflection of the strong community spirit in Igangan, which had always been known for its resilience and determination to grow.
The lawmaker urged the people of Igangan to maximise the opportunities provided by the market, and ensure that it becomes a center of commerce ,not just for the town, but for the entire Ibarapa region.
