A governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress( APC) prior to the 2019 election in Oyo State, Engr. Joseph Tegbe has been installed as the Mogaji of Oguntegbe family in Labo, Ibadan, by the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji.
Tegbe was installed as Mogaji on Monday at the Olubadan’s Popoyemoja palace alongside other Mogaji’s and Baales.
His installation as Mogaji has put to rest the insinuation in some quarters that Tegbe is not an indigene of Ibadan.
Speaking with journalists on Monday at his Bodija residence shortly after his installation, Tegbe who is a Partner and Head of Technology Advisory Services practice of KPMG Professional Services in Nigeria, noted that his installation has further confirmed the good things he has done and his commitment towards the development of Ibadan land and Oyo State in general.
“We are just revalidating the obvious mischievous allegations that a man that has his origin in Ibadan is not from Ibadan but from Edo or Delta
“This is just the beginning of greater things to come to my family and Ibadan land. My plan is to consult round to know what my people lacks which I’ve already been doing through my foundation by supporting Ibadan indigenes, widows and less privileged in the society,” he said.
Speaking on his quest to serve the state, the 54-year old fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria maintained that his interest in governance has never diminished, saying that he is very keen on ensuring that the people get good governance by actively participating.
He thanked the Olubadan and Olubadan-in-Council for the honour bestowed on him by installing him as the Mogaji of Oguntegbe family of Ibadan.
