Former Deputy governor of Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore has condoled with the family and the entire people of Ipetumodu town over the passing away of the traditional ruler of the town, Oba James Adegoke Adedokun, (Akunraledoye.)
Omisore also commiserated with the Osun state Council of Obas and Chiefs, the Ife North Local government caretaker committee members and the Osun state government over the passage of the Apetu of Ipetumodu.
Senator Omisore described Late Oba Adegoke Adedokun”s death as shocking and a great loss not only to his immediate family, Ipetumodu, Osun state but to the entire contry .
The former Deputy governor who is the Otunba of Ipetumodu stated that the death of the late Apetu of Ipetumodu came at a time his wealth of experience will be needed in the task of reshaping of Osun state and Nigeria as a country for better, considering the trying period Nigerians are presently passing through.
He said: “I hereby condole with the family of our late father, the Apetu of Ipetumodu, Oba James Adegoke Adedokun on his passing away last Sunday. Oba Adedokun no doubt contributed his own quota to the growth and development of Ipetumodu, Osun state and Nigeria in general. The late traditional ruler will forever be remembered for his fatherly roles especially in the sustainance of peace in and across his domain during his 25 years reign”
According to Senator Omisore, the late Apetu of Ipetumodu’s lifestyle was worthy of emulation as he proved to be a peace loving monarch who promoted peace among his subjects and others.
The former deputy governor then prayed that God almighty will grant the entire Adedokun family, the people of Ipetumodu the fortitude to bear the great loss.
