Ondo State Government has reacted to the killing of Olufon of Ifon, Oba Adegoke Adeusi by unknown Gunmen at Elegbeka on Thursday.
The government in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo condoled with the people of Ifon over the incident.
Ojogo described the incident as a heinous crime which has, again, confirmed that the state is in a serious security crisis beyond the ordinary.
He disclosed that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has visited the affected area in company of the Chief of Staff, Olugbenga Ale; Head of Service, Dare Aragbaiye; Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Dotun Owanikin and state chairman of All Progressives Congress, Ade Adetimehin.
The commissioner added that the governor has directed security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police to fish out the perpetrators of the crime and vows to give whatever it takes to bring the criminals to book.
Meanwhile, there is civil unrest ongoing in Ifon town, Ondo State
It was gathered that the youths have taken over all the major streets in the town, protesting against the murder of the monarch.
