The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 43-year-old man, Ajagba Joseph, over alleged attempt to murder a man he found in his concubine’s house.
Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, disclosed this in a statement shared on the command’s X account on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the incident occurred on August 23, when Joseph visited his lover’s home and met another man, who was also reportedly in a relationship with the same woman.
Angered by the situation, Joseph allegedly pulled out a single-barrel gun and shot the other man.
The victim, however, survived the attack and is currently recuperating from his injuries at a hospital.
“Attempted Murder – This married man, Mr Ajagba Joseph aged 43 on 23rd of Aug, went to his concubine’s house and met a co-concubine, he became angry and shot the other concubine with his single barrel gun, victim recuperating, suspect in custody and will soon be charged to court.
“For clarity, the man met another lover (a man) in the woman’s house,” the statement said.
