A farm belonging to the spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Tajudeen Aro, has been attacked by herders.

It was learnt that one of the workers on the farm, Yakubu Salasi, was severely injured during the attack which occurred on Friday.

Salasi is currently receiving treatment at a hospital located in Offa.

According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state, Babawale Afolabi, the herders migrated from Idanre in Osun State.

He added that the herders escaped from the scene when the farmers alerted the Offa Civil Defence Joint Taskforce division.

Speaking with newsmen on Sunday, Aro said the young man injured in the attack is recuperating at the hospital, adding that fforts are ongoing to arrest the assailants.

He explained that while the herders are on the run, the owners of the cattle are currently in police net.
