The Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has commiserated with the Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola.
The Ooni described Alhaja Aregbesola, “fondly called Mama Olobi” as an epitome of motherhood worthy of emulation by any woman who desires to raise successful children through whom she would be forever celebrated.
Ooni Ogunwusi who is currently on a private visit in London expressed this in a statement released on Tuesday by his Director of Media and Public Affairs, Comrade Moses Olafare. He urged the good people of the state and Yoruba race in general to join Governor Aregbesola and siblings in celebrating their mother who had laboured hard to raise with discpline, virtues and Godliness, the Governor who he called an OMOLUWABI per excellence.
He said: “Mama Olobi, you are such a wonderful mother that will forever be celebrated by all and emulated by other good mothers who desire to raise children that will be blessings to the society like your children one of whom is the current Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who has always conducted himself in an enviable manner reflecting the Godliness, discipline and good virtues with which you had raised him. He is indeed an Omoluwabi per excellence.
“May your soul rest in peace and may the Almighty Allah uphold the Governor as he continues to take Osun to greater heights”.
