The Oluyole Local Government chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has given its blessing to Alhaji Kehinde Isiaka Olaosebikan who in his bid to clinch the party’s governorship ticket ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The party gave their endorsement on Monday at its weekly general meeting held in Olomi. At the meetimg, the Chairman of the party in the local government, Alhaji Waheed Akinleye, presented Olaosebikan, who is a former chairman of the local government, to the members as a contender for the APC governorship ticket.
Alhaji Akinleye told the leaders and members of the party that Olaosebikan was eminently competent and capable for the governorship post, saying: “He possesses the right credentials, personal qualities, political and administrative skills, profound contacts, commendable character and maturity required to win the race and run an excellent government”
The Deputy Chairman of the party in Oyo state, Honourable Lekan Adeyemo, who was present at the meeting, corroborated Alhaji Akinleye’s assessment of Olaosebikan, saying that the governorship aspirant would be a great ambassador of Oluyole as the party’s flag bearer in the race and as governor.
Hon. Adeyemo enjoined all party members in the local government to give their full support to the aspiration of Alhaji Olaosebikan and work tirelessly to ensure that he got the party ticket and won at the general election.
Other leaders and members who spoke at the meeting hailed Olaosebikan’s qualities and pledged their unflinching support and commitment to his aspiration.
Olaosebikan was the Chief Press Secretary to the late governor of the state, Alhaji Lam Adesina, from 1999 to 2003. He is 56 years old.
